Where should I go deep sea fishing in the Gulf Coast?

If your main objective is finding the best location to fish the Gulf of Mexico the answer is without a doubt the Florida Keys. There are many different types of fishing you can perform in the Keys. The grass flats of the Florida are home to a large variety of awesome sport fish. The most unique is the Bonefish, a species large unavailable to anglers in other areas of the Gulf. The Bonefish is perhaps the strongest fighter pound for pound in the Gulf. You can also catch Permit that can rip hundreds of yards of line from a reel in a matter of seconds. The Tarpon is perhaps the most sought after species in the Gulf Coast. The Florida Keys has perhaps more Tarpon than any other area along the Gulf Coast. It is not uncommon to catch several Tarpon over one hundred pounds when fishing the correct areas for this species. The Florida Keys Gulf Coast is also famous for the amount of wrecks in the depths of its waters. These wrecks are excellent fishing grounds for a huge variety of species. Large Snappers, Grouper, Sharks and numerous other fish are caught daily along these wrecks, some of which are in water as shallow as ten feet. For the angler without a boat you have the famous bridges of the Florida Keys. Because of the geography of the Keys you can literally fish on land from a bridge and be in the middle of the ocean. Just about any large species can and will come by your line at any time.
