If you are planning to fish the South Pacific, you sure have some prime fishing locations from which to choose. You might decide to shoot down to Australia and fish the South Pacific for trout, tuna, marlin, or any other big game fish native to the area that can be found in the waters of the South Pacific in the Down Under fondly known as ‘Oz’. You might decide to Fish Costa Rica’s South Pacific. Golfito, Drake Bay, and Puerto Jimenez are prime locations from which to fish for really BIG tuna and marlin. Another prime destination to find great fishing in the South Pacific is Vava’u in the Kingdom or Tonga. It is well known as having some of the best sport fishing anywhere in the world, and has great fishing for: Marlin Yellowfin and Skipjack Tuna Mahimahi Sailfish Dogtooth tuna Sailfish Bluefin Trevally Giant Trevally Wahoo New Zealand is a great place to fish, particularly in the months as the summer is winding down to fall. During this time of year, tuna and billfish swim very close to the shore looking for warmth, and surf fishermen say there is no better fishing anywhere.
