The Best Saltwater Fishing Lure

* Plugs – There are two types of plugs available and they are called the top-water plugs and the underwater plugs. Some of the best saltwater fishing is done with these lures. They come in many different styles, colors and shapes made of either wood or plastic. Top-water plugs are designed to look like live bait and they will make some type of movement on top of the water that attracts the saltwater fish to them.

These lures should normally be presented at a faster pace than other types of lures to produce the effect you need to make them work properly. Some underwater plugs are designed with the head cut with a slant or with a metal lip that allows them to look like live bait when sinking under the water. Others will have to be presented in a way that simulates live bait.

Regardless of which lure you choose the amount of success that you achieve will mainly be determined by the way you present the lure. Take the time to practice and experiment a little and you will find that the better you know and can handle your equipment, the more saltwater fish you will catch.

It is a good idea to carry a variety of these saltwater fishing lures with you anytime you go fishing. This way you will always be prepared for anything at anytime. Now that you have a better understanding of how each one of them works, your saltwater fishing ventures should result in more fish per trip.
